To answer this, candidates have four options - (a) Accept and Freeze (b) Accept and Float (c) Reject and Float (d) Exit the KCET 2025 Counselling Process. On the other hand, candidates can keep the seat while considering other options in the next rounds where no fee is required. After the KCET First Round Seat Allotment 2025, candidates are provided with four options: Accept and Freeze- If satisfied, pay the fee and confirm your seat. Accept but Float- Keep the seat while considering other options in the next rounds where no fee is required. Reject and Float- Give up the seat to participate in the next rounds. Pay the seat acceptance fee if you accept a seat later. Exit KCET Counselling 2025- Decline the seat and withdraw from the KCET 2025 Counselling Process. Let us check this more briefly -

Choice 1

  • If you are satisfied with the seat allotment and do not want to participate in further rounds of counselling, you can choose Choice 1
  • Candidates choosing this option will have to download the Challan
  • The candidates need to visit the nearest bank specified by KEA on Challan and deposit the course fee
  • The amount that has to be paid will be available on the Challan
  • After depositing the fee at the bank, collect the receipt
  • Download ‘Admission Order’ from the KEA candidate portal one hour after paying the fee

Choice 2

  • If you are waiting for a better college option and do not want to lose the already allocated seat, you can choose Choice 2
  • In such cases, you can participate in KCET Round 2 counselling
  • Seat allotted in Round 1 will not be cancelled till you get a higher-order college option in subsequent rounds
  • Candidates choosing this option need not pay the seat acceptance fee till a seat is accepted in subsequent rounds

Choice 3

  • If you are not satisfied with the seat allotment in Round 1 and are willing to participate in Round 2, you can choose Choice 3
  • In such cases, the seat allotted in Round 1 shall be cancelled
  • Candidates choosing this option need to pay the seat acceptance fee till a seat is accepted in subsequent rounds

Choice 4

  • If you are not satisfied with the seat allotment and want to quit the counselling process, you can choose this option
  • Candidates choosing this option are not eligible for subsequent rounds of counselling.

KCET First Round Seat Allotment 2025

The seat allotment result of KCET 2025 will be released based on the choices filled in by candidates, the rank secured in the examination, and the availability of seats. Candidates belonging to special categories such as Physically Disabled, NCC and Sports Category are allotted seats followed by the general category candidates.

  • After checking the seat allotment result on the official website, download the Challan from the candidate portal
  • Take the printout of the Challan
  • Affix your signature on the Challan
  • Visit the nearest bank listed by KEA on Challan
  • Go to the cash deposit counter and deposit the course fee
  • Collect the receipt

How to Download KCET 2025 Admission Order?

Here are the simple steps to download the KCET 2025 admission order -

  1. The admission order will be available one hour after the payment of the admission fee
  2. The candidates will have to log in on the KEA website with the CET number
  3. The option to download the admission order will be available on the screen
  4. Download and take the printout of the admission order
  5. Affix your signature on the admission order

The dates regarding the seat acceptance process will be announced soon. Candidates will have to report to the college within the specified date. The candidates need to carry all the original documents presented during the document verification process.

KCET 2025 Seat Allotment Round 2

The KCET 2025 seat allotment result for round 2 will be released in the Second Week of September 2025. Seats reserved under the rural and Kannada medium quotas are filled during the second round of KCET seat allotment 2025.

KCET Seat Allotment 2025: Second Extended Round

KEA is likely to release the KCET Second Extended Seat Allotment 2025 in the Last Week of September 2025 . Seats left empty after the second round of KCET seat allotment 2025 will be filled in this round for the categories of SCG, STG, 1G, 2AG, 2BG, 3AG, 3BG, GMR, and GMK, among others. All of the above-mentioned seats will be transformed into general category seats, and KCET 2024 seats will be allocated to applicants from all categories.

KCET 2025 Special Round Seat Allotment

If seats remain unfilled after the two rounds and the extended round of KCET seat allotment 2025, the authorities may hold a special round. If all of the seats are filled in the previous rounds of KCET 2025 seat allotment, the authorities may not hold any additional rounds.

How to Cancel The Allotted Seats?

Applicants allotted seats in the second and first rounds can cancel their seats. Keep a note of the pointers here.

  • Candidates should process the cancellation before the last KCET option entry date for the second extended round.
  • The fees will be refunded after the deduction of the processing fees of Rs 5000.
  • The fees will be forfeited for the applicants who did not report to the colleges after the second extended round.
  • If the applicant is unable to take the seat in the second extended round his/her complete fees will be forfeited.
  • Cancellation of seats will not be processed in cases of not submitting original documents like bank challan, green card, verification slip, and admission order.

Following all the rounds, you must select option 2. However, if you are allotted a higher-preference seat than your previously allotted one, the latter will be deleted and you won't be able to get it back.
